Cement Products
CalPortland offers a comprehensive line of cement products to meet a wide range of structural, environmental, and performance requirements.
Commercial Cement Products
Portland Cement Type I
A proven cement product designed for prestressed manufacturing and high early-strength construction applications.
Portland Cement Type II
A general-purpose cement with moderate sulfate resistance, containing no more than 8% tricalcium aluminate (C3A). Type II(MH) is available when moderate heat of hydration is desired.
Portland Cement Type III
A high early-strength cement that provides faster setting times and rapid strength development. Chemically similar to Type I, but ground finer for enhanced performance.
Portland Cement Type V
Designed for high sulfate resistance, containing no more than 5% C3A for use in aggressive soil and groundwater conditions.
Blended Portland-Limestone Type IL Cement
A general-purpose cement containing 5-15% inter-ground limestone, manufactured under ASTM C595 standards. This includes ADVANCEMENT™, CalPortland’s low carbon blended cement line, featuring:
- ADVANCEMENT LT (light color / high albedo)
- ADVANCEMENT HS (for high-sulfate soil conditions)
- ADVANCEMENT HPT (high performance ternary)
ADVANCEMENT™ products reduce CO₂ emissions compared to ordinary portland cement while maintaining performance requirements.
Oil Well Cement – Class G
Designed for use in extremely hot, high-pressure environments. Its predictable retarder response makes it well suited for oil well applications.
Masonry Cement – Type S and Type M
Used in the production of masonry mortar for block, stone, and brick masonry construction.
Portland Cement Type I/II/V – Rillito Extra Cement
A proven cement product designed for prestressed manufacturing and high early-strength construction applications.
Consumer Cement Products
Plastic Cement
Interground with plasticizing agents to enhance the workability, cohesion, and performance of Portland cement–based plaster applications.
Veloz Plaster Cement
A fast-setting plaster cement specifically formulated for stucco applications.
