Washington Driver Wins The NRMCA 2023 National Mixer Driver Championship

On Monday, October 2, 2023, Jason Erickson was named the National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA) 2023 National Mixer Driver Champion during the Awards Banquet at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Erickson, representing CPC Materials in Arlington, Washington, competed against 100 drivers from around the U.S. in a variety of tests including a reaction-time test, visual vehicle inspection, parallel parking challenge, delivery ticket station, two-hour written examination and more. Erickson, the overall champion, also came in first place in the delivery ticket test and tied with six other drivers for first place on the written examination.

CalPortland had 11 talented drivers representing its regional operations at the 2023 Driver Championship. Perry Duval representing the Phoenix Division was one of the six drivers tied for 1^st place on the written exam. Also competing in the championship:
