CEMENT PRODUCTS

PORTLAND CEMENT TYPE I

Type I – A general purpose cement, which is widely used when special requirements are not necessary. Some cements meet both the Type I and Type II and Type V specifications.

PORTLAND CEMENT TYPE II

Type II is also a general purpose cement. Type II cements contain no more than 8% tricalcium aluminate (C3A) for moderate sulfate resistance. There is also a Type II(MH) when moderate heat of hydration is desired.

PORTLAND CEMENT TYPE III

A high early strength portland cement whose properties provide faster set times and higher early strength development. Type III is chemically and physically similar to Type I, except that it has finer particle sizes.

PORTLAND CEMENT TYPE V

Contains no more than 5% C3A for high sulfate resistance.

BLENDED PORTLAND-LIMESTONE TYPE IL CEMENT

A general purpose cement that contains between 5-15 percent inter-ground limestone, introducing ADVANCEMENT, CalPortland’s new ASTM C595 blended cement. ADVANCEMENT is currently a portland-limestone cement featuring LT (light color / high albedo) and HS ( for use in high-sulfate soil conditions). ADVANCEMENT is a lower CO2 cement compared to ordinary portland cement. Watch for the launch of other ADVANCEMENT products such as ADVANCEMENT NP and ADVANCEMENT HPT.

OIL WELL CEMENT CLASS G

Oil well cements are designed for use in extremely hot environments with high pressures. Their predictable retarder response makes them suitable for the oil well industry.

MASONRY CEMENTS TYPE S and M

For the production of masonry mortar for use in block, stone, and brick masonry construction.

PORTLAND CEMENT TYPE I/II/V RILLITO EXTRA CEMENT

A proven product for prestressed manufacturing and high early strength construction.

PLASTIC CEMENT

Plastic cement is interground with plasticizing agents designed to enhance the desirable properties of Portland Cement – Based Plaster.

VELOZ PLASTER CEMENT

A fast setting plaster cement used for stucco applications.
