CalPortland is proud to announce that its Oro Grande Plant and Mojave Plant have been honored with the American Cement Association (ACA) Chairman’s Safety Performance Award for 2025.
The Chairman’s Safety Performance Awards recognize cement plants across the United States that demonstrate exceptional safety performance. Award recipients rank among the top 10 percent of the industry based on low incident rates of accidents and injuries.
The awards are determined using data recorded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). Since 2008, the alliance between MSHA and the Portland Cement Association (now ACA) has emphasized education, awareness, and continual improvement in workplace safety across the cement industry.
CalPortland extends congratulations and appreciation to the teams at the Oro Grande and Mojave Plant for their ongoing commitment to excellence in safety and operational integrity, demonstrating CalPortland’s motto of “Zero Accidents for Life”.
